TRESA CAREY
Math/Social Studies
Ms. Tresa Carey is a resident of Mobile, Alabama. She is a graduate of St. Hugh’s High in Kingston, Jamaica. As a high school student, she took the Cambridge O’ Level examinations, where she earned several distinctions. Upon graduation, Ms. Carey returned to the United States to attend the University of South Alabama. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History and minors in Sociology and English Literature. Ms. Carey later returned to the university and earned her Master Degree in Special Education. Wanting to move to the general education classroom, Ms. Carey took the Praxis in Social Science. She currently holds certifications in Pre-K Special Education and Social Science. She holds an ACT Math Certification, as well.

Ms. Carey is currently employed by the Baldwin County Board of Education for more than twenty-five years. She has taught World History, US History I and II, and ACT Prep Math/Science. Ms. Carey believes all children can learn; they just need to be taught in the way they learn. She believes that teaching is a gift and should be used to help all children succeed.
